Each year, from late December through April, humpback whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii to calve, mate and rear their young. The shallow waters surrounding Maui are known as the "cradle of the humpback" due to the fact that a large number of humpbacks are raised in this area. Four Winds II Afternoon Snorkel Whalewatch combines a whalewatch with a snorkel excursion every afternoon during whale season. The three and a half-hour excursion departs from Maalaea Harbor during whale season at 1:30pm daily.
If you’re looking for an adventure snorkel trip then step aboard the Maui Magic, Maui Classic Charters’ new state of the art power catamaran. The weather dictates the snorkel sites and destinations and possibilities include the Kanaio Coast, La Perouse, offshore Kaho'olawe, Molokini, Turtle Arches, and the beautiful Coral Gardens.
